Hi, I’m Corbin

Welcome to Elate Fitness!

My mission is to support and inspire you in your mental and physical health journey.

There are already challenges around creating good mental health and improving your physical health shouldn’t be one of them.

We’ve done the work so you can benefit from having a plan that works by educating you on how and why it works, empowering you to make a change, and supporting your journey.

My name is Corbin Bednarik and I have spent my whole professional life helping people overcome chronic diseases, recover from injuries and empowering people to improve their lives regardless of any challenges they face.

My younger sister Sydney died by suicide in 2017 after silently battling anxiety and depression. This was the catalyst for creating Elate Fitness.

Since that moment, I have been dedicated to improving the lives and mental health for everyone around me. Using my knowledge of the brain and body I created Elate Fitness to focus on showing and teaching you exactly how your mental health and physical health work.

I do this by focusing on 3 pillars of health:

Healthy Movement | Healthy Eating | Healthy Habits

Through Elate Fitness, I teach you what they are, why they’re important, how to implement them in your life, and I include everything you could need to do just that.

My goal is to make sure that no one else around me has to feel like my sister did while feeling unhappy or hopeless. The human body is intricate and there are so many powerful ways to balance your mood, manage anxiety, lessen depression, attain a healthy body, and build better health for life.

Elate Fitness is your guide to that.

Did you know, being a CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist is partnered and recognized as equivalent to a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as well as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)!

Remembering

Sydney BednariK

Picture of Sydney Bednarik on the remembering Sydney on Elate Fitness

It is with crushing grief and sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Forever in our hearts.

Sydney has spent her whole life helping others. Sydney graduated from UBCO in 2017 completing her honours degree in Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology while being a peer mentor.

Sydney was a huge advocate for supporting anyone who needed help and wanted improvements to our mental health support systems.

In honour of Syd’s hard work, we are carrying on her legacy to allow those struggling with mental illness to get the care they so desperately need.
